I actually just tried with the double pipe and it worked hehe 🙂
Great, thanks John!
Ah ok I got ya. I am still using 4.00.032
That is the current case tho, the category we list in just changed last week to the weird drop-down/+ system. So just needs copy enabled.
Thanks!
From the MPN field in the Item Specifics tab of the Item Window.
Well I figured out our problem. It’s weird but I have a workaround.
The search we have saved to pull up the ones we want to end… some of the ones selected don’t actually get selected. I know that doesn’t sound like it makes any sense, but get this… when I do the search, then select all, and then right-click and select “Go to Selected Listings”, the quantity that shows in the result is lower than the quantity that’s selected.
In other words, the listings that weren’t ending were not even being selected even though they were showing as being selected. Bizarre, but this solves my problem because “Go to Selected Listings” makes sure I am ending the ones I think I’m ending lol
Yeah that’s true, not worth risking messing the pricing up.
Which puts me right back where I started with the original problem. I can’t assign to “fixed price” from “starting price” in Check Listings. I can only do it from Sell Items.
In my case, I’m just manually ending them in batches. So I will do a search in Check Listings, select a large group, and click the Cancel button followed by the select reason box. It definitely seems to be related to the quantity I am trying to end. If I have a few instances of SixBit running and I’m trying to do a batch of them in each one, it’s a large portion that don’t actually end, like 25%. I know the simple solution in my case is to end less at a time, but that’s tricky as we try to end a lot at the end of each day and schedule to re-list the next day for optimal ebay presence in best match.
Thanks!
Bringing this back up, because I am implementing this process, I’m curious:
If you can make changes in Sell Items, export to a CSV file, then re-import with the “update running listings” box checked, then why not just put “update running listings” as an option in the drop-down menu in Sell Items when you right-click on an item?
Or is it already possible to update running listings when you make changes to an item and I am not seeing it? Exporting to a CSV just to re-import in order to make changes to the listing seems redundant.
Thanks!
Ah, ok I see. I am wanting to assign to “fixed price” from “starting price” in Check Listings.
I suppose a CSV import would work, but really a CSV import can be used to do virtually anything, it’s the hassle factor of needing to do a CSV export/import every time.
Thanks!
Awesome, got it, thanks Bob!
Thanks Bob! I can’t figure out how to actually set it in bulk.. Like I see in batch change where you can select the Starting Price field, but how do you set it to be the original price aside from manually doing one at a time. Any tips?
There already is a column in Check Listings called Start Price which theoretically could show that fixed price in Sell Items, but they all show $0.00 so I’m assuming that’s only related to auction style, not fixed price listings.
Sounds like we just need the option to schedule listings to end.
Right now, within Sell Items, we can either submit immediately, or submit with SixBit scheduling when they will be listed.
So the same ability for ending running listings would be cool.
Any news on promotion pricing support?
It would be literally life changing for me hehe 😀
