Anything sold on the Pattern website should create an Etsy order in SixBit just like any other Etsy sale. This is according to the Etsy docs, but we would like any users with a Pattern website to confirm this once they have a Pattern sale.

For catalog items we’ll only download one picture. I should have been more clear. Amazon doesn’t let us submit pictures on the items they already have defined, so there really isn’t a need to download all of them into SixBit. We just download the main picture for reference in SixBit.

Yes, this is expected. Since Amazon keeps their own pictures for an item, we simply download the main picture for reference in SixBit.

    Turtlecove,

Getting quantities for FBA items requires a different API call than the normal call. We just finished implementing the second call to get the FBA inventory. We’ll be building a version today and will send you the link.

in reply to: Blackthorne import? #5978

No, the current version cannot import from Blackthorne. The last version the supported a Blackthorne import was 1.04.281. To perform a Blackthorne import, you will have to install that version from https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/download/Install-SixBit-1.04.281.exe onto a computer. You can then perform the import as described in https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/clients/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=17.

After the import, you can upgrade SixBit to the latest and it will update the database to the newest release.

Kompozer is a well known free HTML editor that works well with SixBit. Just do a search for it on the internet to find it.

I urge folks not to get too worked up yet. I’m still tweaking the forums to try to make them more like the old forums. Although they work differently than the old forums, they still provide the same basic functionality. I will continue to try to adjust them to make them more usable and more familiar.

I urge you all to give them a chance and try to find alternative ways to get the same results. For example, there is a link at the top that will show you any unread topics to narrow down what you haven’t seen yet.

Would it be more advantageous to put the newest posts first rather than last? This would reduce the amount of scrolling.

Vote this post up on the right if you want me to try reversing the order.

The URL to the old forums has always been in the line just below the “SixBit User Forum” title at the top of this page.

There has also been some confusion over comments vs. replies.

Comments are intended to be directed at a specific post. They are useful when you want to say something to someone who has written in posts prior to the last one. Replies are to to continue the main discussion. It seems that users aren’t really applying this properly so I have removed the comment capability which will simplify the forum to just a single thread of replies.

Also, try clicking on the “Forums” view in the header (next to “Recent”) and you will see a list of posts in a more familiar view.

    Ben,

It looks like you modified your subscription info, so let me know if you are still having issues.

Also, the reason we added a new forum is because with the new website we wanted a single signon. On the old site there was a separate signon for the client area and forums. In this site, one signon gets you onto the site, the client area and the forums. Also, we didn’t invent this forum, it is an off the shelf product called EasyDiscuss.

This theme is called “Wireframe”. We also added blue text. To get a view you are more familiar with, you might want to click the “Forums” link in the header to see a list of topics by forum instead of just the most recent.
