    We have requested a rate limit increase twice and it has been denied both times. We have implemented a soft rate limit for the handful of users that have been doing a high number of daily revisions(Over 5K each). This limit goes away once the total number of available calls is recalculated, which is every 2 hours. So if you’re on the latest betas(currently 4.00.845) and still see 429 errors, wait 2 hours and try again. This should preserve the call limit for the 95% of Sellers that are using the SixBit Etsy integration with lower than 5K/day revision calls. If you’re using more that that and seeing the 429s, contact support and we’ll try to help streamline the practices you’re using to avoid the limit.

    Anyone who uses etsy, have things got any better since the latest beta and Johns comments above?

    I dont want to waste my money on the Duo version if it doesnt work and I end up regretting it from day 1. What is your day to day experience of managing etsy with SB?

    Hi Sharon,

    The issue with Etsy remains their API Call limit. They changed the limit from 100k/day per user to 100k/day per application. We’ve requested an increase but it has not been granted. I would suggest contacting them and let them know how it’s affecting your business, it may help for them to hear directly from you.

    Does that mean you have requested a limit increase and it has not been granted as in they have said a straight out No, or not been granted (yet) as you are still waiting a response to confirm if they will increase it?

    Unless they are willing increase it I guess etsy management using any software is dead in the water. Seems a crazy thing to put an obstacle in the way of everyone who uses third party software to no longer let them manage their listings outside of Etsy.

    Thanks for the response John. So does ‘Addressed issue of reduced Etsy Call limits for avoid 429 Errors’ mean that you now have an increased Call Limits amount or that you just manage differently the 100k calls you have?

    Should there now be no issues with sending new listings or amendments to Etsy, and they should go through to Etsy straight away without any delays?

    Just want to make sure before I pay for this subscription. 🙂

    Is this still the case that there are issues with listing to etsy? Was going to subscribe today to the Duo edition, but after seeing this post its probably best to give it a miss for now – Unless of course things have progressed over the last few weeks?

    Did nothing ever come of this?

    etsy do appear to have made this available in their API now

    “personalization_instructions”: “string”

    Is there any chance of adding the option of sending through personalisation instructions when creating an etsy listing?
