Hi Kevin,
It isn’t supported in the .NET framework we currently use for SixBit. We’re not able to upgrade that without losing access to our current eBay APIs.

Hi Ralph,
As Kevin mentioned, this will require sharing your database on your network between the two computers. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Networking.htm
If you open a support ticket, the team can connect remotely to get you set up if you have any issues.
Thanks,
John

Hi Timothy,
I haven’t seen any changes listed in their APIs, but I can look into it. If you have an example Order where labels were printed in bulk and costs aren’t currently showing in SixBit, could you open a ticket and submit your database for testing?
Thanks,
John

Hi Adam,
Each variation has a generated sku to make it unique based on the variation set. If you use custom label mapping or SKU generation rules in Sixbit, it will be ignored for Variations.

Hi Albertine,
Have you submitted a db recently? If not, could you send us in a ticket some of the categories you’re using that have slow Item specifics so we can test them here? There has been some category mapping changes recently that could be causing this.
Thanks,
John

We’re still working on this, but haven’t been able to reproduce it yet. Could you check the Manage Agent screen to make sure that only one machine, usually the server has the agent tasks enabled?
Also, have your daily backups been working correctly?

Are you starting up in a particular View on these computers? Or a particular Grid Layout? Usually a saved layout with a column sort that could result in a lengthy query would be suspect here. Resetting or changing the Layout to All Fields and saving the Layout might help. Checking the code, there hasn’t been any startup changes since the last full version.

Hi Adrian,
The feature has been added for the next beta release, 4.00.470 or later. It should be out in the next few days.
Thanks,
John

Hi Sharon,
Open a ticket with support and we should be able to help you out. Just to note, you can’t change a listing from one account to another. That listing needs to be ended, the Item changed to the new account and then listed it again from the Item record.

Hi Owen,
We did start work on EasyPost, but due to other pressing eBay changes we need to keep up with, haven’t finished it. Same with the grouping, it can be added when time allows.

Hi Art,
Yes, and import of Hip Sales will create an associated Item and Listing record in SixBit. There is an option to ignore those Sales, but by default it should bring them in.
John Manning, Senior Developer
A listing record is a partial copy of an Item record. Certain fields are only contained on Items, like Pictures or Variations while others have copies that can be changed independently like prices. There is only one Item record, but they can be several listing records for that Item. Listings on multiple sites, or in the case of eBay, a fixed price listing and an auction listing. Once a listing ends, that historical copy is also available, but a new listing record would be created using the current values (ie. prices) from the Item record. For running listings, when you revise them, you have the option to also update the base Item record with the “apply changes to future items” checkbox. This keeps them in sync. If you want the changes to only last as long as the current listing and not be copied to the next time this item is listing, you would leave that unchecked.
Here’s the Video for creating and editing variations. If you need some additional help or have some questions, open a support ticket and our team will be able to help via a remote session.

Our support team can help directly if you open a support ticket. The process will be the same as moving to a new computer. https://www.sixbitsoftware.com/EN/Moving_Your_Database_to_a_New_Computer.htm

Change the Picture variant to Color, in your definition it’s showing as band width. Click the radio button next to color in the column with the camera icon. Then re-add the pictures. When you select a gold one in the variation grid, add a variation picture, likewise for silver. After that, each gold and each silver should show their associated pictures only.

To modify a variation set:
– Right click the variations grid and select Modify Variation Set Definition. This will open the same Manage Variations window that was used to create the variation set.
– Select and add any new item specifics, as well as adding any allowed values to a variant. Any existing values or variants cannot be removed since they may be in use in current or past listings. In addition, the SKU definition cannot be modified at this point either.
– Once the modifications have been made, click Save and Exit.
