We have 5 Etsy accounts all with multiple shipping profiles attached.(all doing automatic allocation of stock with eBay)
From memory it was as simple as running “Sync auxiliary data” to attach them in sixbit.

We also have no issues with allocations or marking items as shipped (it actually quicker than marking eBay items).
Only issue is if you try combining sales. They will combine on sixbit but then Etsy will not understand where to put the tracking info so you will need to do it manually
Probably an easy fix , just haven’t got around to reporting it yet!.

    Would be a nice addition.
Simply requires a change to the inventory control to allow you to “build” inventory items from existing items.
Ie you have stock of item A and you use Item A to build item B and Item C
Item B might be a pack that require 5 x Item A to make it and item B might need 10 x Item A
Also would work when you want to sell an item individually or in a set with another item. Ie sell Item A or Item B or the 2 as a pair and call it item C

Anyone know how eBay will search for watermarks to identify non-complying sellers ?
ie if we make the watermark invisible so it can not be seen but the text is still searchable will they still pick it up ?

Also (maybe a question for John) If you were to wind down the intensity of the watermark until it can not be seen is it possible for SixBit to force the photo to be replaced with a “Resend pictures with revision” ? We have always found that unless the name of the photo is different it is not replaced but if it is possible to change that behavior and eBay are just looking for “visible” watermarks (ie not smart enough to look for hidden text) this would be an automated way of removing them…

Unfortunately only about 10% of our photos have just the watermark. The rest all have a logo which has been manually added so not so easy!

Forgot to add the above will only work presuming that SixBit stores the original photo and only adds the watermark when uploading. If the existing watermark is added to the stored photo it is obviously not going to work

We simply give EVERYTHING a unique SKU and name the pictures with the same SKU.
Makes it really simple to find them

It would be really really nice !
We have tried a number of different programs over the years trying to find something that will do it without loosing too many of the features supplied by SixBit. There are a number of programs that will do it quite well but they fall short on the other features. After 10+ years using SixBit, Blackthorn, SA etc we were about to jump ship to a local Australian company that does it very well but then SixBit went and added Etsy support which is sort of worth more to us so back to the drawing board.
We have one ID that has almost 1000 listings using quantity as the main variation and trying to keep track of the inventory is not fun!

Would be a fantastic addition to SixBit if it could be added on. (A whole new group of sellers who would suddenly find SixBit very attractive!)

The way it is done by most of the software that does support it is a tweak to the inventory control which allows you to “build” other items from a base inventory item. So if you have a 100 cables which are item A, you could have a set of 5 cables which are item B but are actually “built” using 5 of item A. When you sell item B it takes 5 of item A off your inventory.

    Hi John,

Yes Variation grid on Listing Window.
Understand that you can reorder them within the window but asking if the default view (ie what you get when you open the listing) can be the same as what shows on the actual eBay listing.

We have the ability to force the order when creating the listing and that then shows correctly on eBay so not understanding why the listing view would not default to the same order ?

    Thanks

Highlight the two item records, right click, select Merge Inventory.

Don’t remember how to select which one is the master record but instructions should be in the help files under merge
