I’m still getting the error under .301. It doesn’t happen with templates that I created, so it’s not a big deal. Most of the time I use my custom templates.
You’re right, they don’t say there was a fix. I was thinking of a fix in .282 for some orders apparently not coming in at all from eBay. Sorry for the confusion.
The key to the problem is probably in the allo plans. Could you post screen shots of the allo plans for each site for this item? Also, which sites were the sales on? It would be useful to show the site in the process orders grid. When I’ve had this happen it has always been a matter of my screwing up one of the allo plans or one being turned off altogether.
I run eBay and Etsy, selling mostly vintage one of a kind items without any inventory problems. There is the possibility of a bug in SixBit’s handling of Shopify, in which case you’ll need to submit a ticket.
I should’ve mentioned that I’m running .282 and the problem still exists despite what the release notes say.
Is there a resolution to this? I find that I’ve had the same problem on some, but not all, eBay orders since June 11, the day after I upgraded to version .280.
Put in a ticket if you haven’t already.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I’ve been selling on eBay and using SixBit for many years and this is the first time I’ve heard the term “preferred aspects”. Is this the same as item specifics?
I thought of that, and know how to do it, but my problem is that I have probably at least several hundred books, DVDs, CDs and other media needing needing item specifics like author or artist, title, and publisher. Working in the item records I at least have the photos to look at rather than digging each item out of storage. Some of the information is in the listing title which I could export, but not all of it. It’s actually always been a bit annoying that item specifics don’t update when using the “Send revisions to site” method, but now it’s become painful.
Are you listing it with a condition of “New”? If so, I haven’t found a way around it except to list with a condition of “Like New” and then say in the condition description that it’s actually new. I’ve also run into the same problem with DVDs and CDs. Maybe somebody else has found a different solution.
I also use the Duo edition to run eBay and Etsy. Additionally, I have a small handful of Amazon sales that I enter as over the counter orders. I’m there are a number of us that can offer help and suggestions.
Mike, I strongly recommend upgrading to the Small Business version. The added value is far more than the extra 15 bucks a month you’ll pay.
Packing list is not available in the Home & Hobby edition.
I was able to download eventually, but the release notes screen is blank and SixBit hangs.
When I first started using SixBit quite a few years ago now, I had a hard time getting a handle on the Repository, folders, subfolders, status, etc. But once the light bulb came on, I quickly got a good handle on it and now it’s all 2nd nature. I never used Turbo Lister, or much of anything within eBay itself, so I don’t have that frame of reference, but going from one relatively simple platform to one that’s much more complex, customizable, and powerful, makes the learning curve seem steeper. Hang in there. You’ve going to love it.
Thanks, John. I just submitted a ticket.
